Access the Connectivity Page for Serengeti

To access the Connectivity page for Serengeti:

  1. From the Main Menu, go to Configuration.
  2. Click Configure eBilling Vendor Connectivity.
  3. Click the Serengeti link. The Configure Connectivity to Serengeti window displays.

eBilling Setup on Serengeti

The following steps must be completed on Serengeti to successfully submit invoices through eBillingHub. The client may impose additional requirements.

  1. The eBilling Vendor connectivity for Serengeti must be correctly set up with a valid password. For more information, see Configure eBilling Vendor Connectivity.
  2. The client and matter IDs must be set in Serengeti. This is also required if you are using SpeedPost. For more information, see Set Client and Matter IDs in Serengeti.

Add/Update Client Matter Numbers

  1. Log on to Serengeti.
  2. Click on the client.
  3. Click on the Matters.
  4. From the drop down, select All Matters I Can Access.
  5. Change View.
  6. Click the specific matter billing.
  7. In the Law Firm Information section, click the View/Edit Firm Client & Matter #s link.
  8. For the Firm Client # (type client number).
  9. For the Firm Matter # (type firm number).
  10. Click Save and Close.

Track Serengeti Invoices

  1. When an invoice is uploaded, the results page will be displayed on the ebilled or rejected link in eBillingHub.

An invoice may be rejected from posting for one of three reasons:

    1. The client and matter numbers have not been set. For more information, see Set Client and Matter IDs in Serengeti.
    2. The invoice is a duplicate.
    3. The invoice violates the LEDES standards, such as a math error with either the line item total or the invoice total.

If an invoice is in ebilled status, one of two things is happening:

    1. It is delivered to the client for review.
    2. It is placed on Hold and not delivered to the client if there are incomplete tasks for a matter.
  1. When an invoice is delivered to the client, it is in Pending status on the View Invoices screen pending review by the client. When this review is complete, Serengeti sends an email if the invoice has been reduced or rejected. This email is forwarded by the Hub to Law Firm staff.

Emails from Serengeti are sent from [Client Contact]@[client contact email]
