Flat Entries

eBillingHub can be configured to treat a cost card entry with a specified value in the description field as a "Flat" entry. A Flat entry is an entry that displays only a total amount, rather than a calculation based on a quantity and rate.

How does eBillingHub treat flat entries?

• There is no validation for the amount = rate * quantity
• If the Billing Wizard option to adjust for rounding errors is turned on, flat entries are not adjusted for rounding errors. For more information, see Round Adjustments.

eBillingHub considers a flat entry:

• In CMS, the cost code does not have a related unit cost.
• In Elite, if the quantity is zero and the amount is greater than zero.
• If the Billing Wizard configuration option, Flag entries as flat if description contains the following value has been set up and the line item description contains the specified value. For more information, contact your System Administrator or see Configure the Billing Wizard.
