Implementation Steps

The typical eBillingHub implementation process consists of the following basic activities.

Set up each PC that will be used with eBillingHub with permissions to allow eBillingHub to download components. For more information, see the eBillingHub Technical Configuration Manual.

At least one workstation needs to be done to complete the Configuration. Should be completed by End User Training

Client List Review

Billing Coordinator

  • Determine what new client setups are needed
  • Determine clients that need special attention during testing

Should be completed before Administrator Training

eBilling Vendor Connectivity

Request logons with the eBillingHub email address for vendors listed in Configure eBilling Vendor Connectivity. For more information, see Configure eBilling Vendor Connectivity.

Can be started when Configuration is complete, should be at least partially complete for End User Training

Kickoff - scheduled meeting

Billing Coordinator, IT Contact

  • Review current billing practices and how they would be affected by the eBillingHub implementation.
  • Identify IT infrastructure tasks
  • Create initial implementation plan based on the firm's goals and expectations

Admin I Training

  • Configure System Tab covering global settings, mapping of timekeeper titles, matter arrangement types, UTBMS codes and custom mapping overrides.

  • Create default and any client-specific expense code maps for use in the Hub. For more information, see Map Expense Codes.

  • Map Clients, Client Extended Fields, and Configure ebill Recipients. For more information, see Client Setups.

Can be started immediately after Kickoff session.

Admin II Training

Testing, Intro to End User Training

Basics of logging in, password reset; Home page; Generating and Submitting Invoices using Billing Wizard and Quick Invoice; Validation Only Wizard; Editor; Active Invoices; Help Menu.

All Mappings should be in place prior to End User Training.

Custom End User Training

Live invoice submission; QA; Refresher.

Live invoices are required for a successful session.
