Accessing the Basic eBilling Editor

To access the basic eBilling Editor, click the Editor icon  for the desired invoice on the Validation Report screen in the Billing Wizard or Quick Invoice.

 

Editor Controls

The basic eBilling Editor has four screen-level controls as explained in the following table:

 

Use this control

To...

Preview the invoice data in the LEDES file format required by the eBilling vendor or client

Access the advanced eBilling Editor for editing additional invoice data

Save any edits to the invoice data

Close the basic eBilling Editor

 

 

Editing Workspaces

The basic eBilling Editor screen contains five workspaces for editing invoice data:

 

·         Invoice Information

·         Fees

·         Expenses

·         Matter Adjustments

·         Timekeepers

 

Click here for a list of the editable fields in each workspace.

 

Toolbar Options

The Fees, Expenses, Matter Adjustments and Timekeepers sections include toolbar options for manipulating the data as explained in the following table:

 

Use this option

To...

Replace data (globally) for specific invoice fields. Use the drop-down list box to select the type of data you want to replace. See the Help topics for editing fees, expenses and matter adjustments for instructions.

Export the data (fees, expenses, matter adjustments, timekeepers) to Microsoft Excel.

Select all rows of data in the corresponding section.

Add a new fee, expense or matter adjustment. See the Help topics for adding fees, expenses and matter adjustments for instructions.

Delete a fee, expense or matter adjustment. See the Help topics for deleting fees, expenses and matter adjustments for instructions.
