Active Invoices Reports

The Active Invoices Summary reports summarize data for invoices currently listed in Active Invoices. Invoices are added to Active Invoices when they are submitted to eBillingHub. Invoices are removed from Active Invoices when they are paid (or canceled) in the firm's Time and Billing system and the payments (and cancellations) are synchronized with eBillingHub. Invoices are also removed when a user manually stops tracking the invoices.

To access the Active Invoices reports, click the Billing or Collections tab from the Reports/Dashboards menu option:

Use the Active Invoices reports with the Billing and Collections reports to identify invoices that require follow-up actions. The table below offers follow-up suggestions based on the status of an invoice in Active Invoices.

Status

Suggested Follow-up Action

Received

If an invoice is in received status for more than a day, eBillingHub may not have been able to log on to the eBilling vendor site to submit the invoice. Contact eBillingHub Customer Support.

Forwarded

If an invoice is in forwarded status for more than a day, the client has not received the invoice email forwarded to them, or they have not responded to the email they received. Follow up with the client and update the invoice status as needed. Contact eBillingHub Customer Support if you suspect an email problem.

Rejected

When an invoice is rejected during the automated validation review or by the client, examine the rejection report for the invoice to determine the cause. Click here for more information on how to handle rejected invoices.

Hold

The eBillingHub user who submitted the invoice should manually upload the invoice data to a file and manually submit it to the client via email or by logging into the client or vendor site. After submitting the invoice, the user should update the status of the invoice using Active Invoices.

Ebilled

If an invoice is in ebilled status longer than expected for a client, follow up with the client to see if there is a problem with the invoice.
